Dear Travelers,
Thank you for choosing Machu Picchu Best! To ensure an optimal experience and your satisfaction, we recommend that you read the following terms and conditions carefully:
Reservations
To confirm your reservation, we require a deposit of 30% or 50% of the total cost of the tour, which can be made through our authorized payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Western Union or bank transfer. The outstanding balance must be paid in cash or by card on the first day of your arrival in Cusco. We require the following information from each passenger: full name, passport number, nationality, date of birth, gender, allergies or medical conditions, and dietary preferences. Once the deposit is received, a confirmation email will be sent to you with the itinerary and service contract. If your reservation includes accommodation, confirmation is subject to availability; if there is no availability, a similar option in category and price will be offered. Last-minute reservations (24 hours before arrival) are subject to special conditions, which will be detailed by email.
Itineraries and Activities
Itineraries are planned with the utmost care. However, they may be subject to modifications due to operational factors such as weather, transportation schedules, or unforeseen situations. The company reserves the right to make changes without prior notice to ensure the safety and proper development of the trip. In case of variations, rescheduling, or cancellations due to external causes (such as flight delays, bad weather, social conflicts), the company will not make refunds, but is committed to assisting in the reorganization of the itinerary.
Changes and Modifications
In exceptional situations such as pandemics (e.g. Covid-19) or unforeseen circumstances (flight cancellation, social conflicts, bad weather), we offer flexibility in our cancellation policies. You may change the date of your tour at no additional cost, as long as you notify us at least 20 days in advance. For changes requested between 20 and 15 days before the start of the tour, a penalty of $50 USD per person will be applied. Changes to Waynapicchu and Machu Picchu Mountain tickets will incur a penalty of $15 USD, and changes to hotel dates will depend on the availability and policies of the establishment. Special note: in the case of the Inca Trail, reservations are not modifiable or refundable due to government policies.
Cancellations
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may make it necessary to cancel a reservation. Cancellation penalties will be applied according to the following scale:
More than 30 days before the start of the tour: 30% of the deposit will be retained.
Between 25 and 16 days before the start: 50% of the deposit will be retained.
Between 15 and 7 days before: 80% of the deposit will be retained.
Between 6 and 0 days before: 100% of the deposit will be retained.
We understand that certain services, such as plane tickets, train tickets or Machu Picchu tickets, do not allow cancellations or refunds.
Inca Trail Cancellations
Inca Trail reservations, whether 2, 4, 5 or 7 days, are non-refundable due to the nature of the permits and services involved (such as entrance fees, porters and trains).
No Show
In case of no-show on the day of the tour due to flight delays or other causes, refunds will not be made. The company is not responsible for lost luggage, accidents, or unforeseen expenses. If you are unable to attend, we will provide you with a certificate so you can process the paperwork with your insurance.
Important Note
If the client abandons the tour for any reason, additional expenses will be the responsibility of the client, and the company will not make refunds.
Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to providing you with an unforgettable experience!
